It’s time to rethink your health.

My name is Nicole and I’m the founder of Rethink Health. I’m a wife, a mom, and a qualified Biokineticist and Pilates instructor who is passionate about helping others live healthy, active lives.

I am a strong believer in exercise as a modality to promote overall health and wellness and use my knowledge in this, to look at and assess, the needs of every individual that I work with.

I personally love working with both young and old, fit and unfit, those with injuries and also those just looking to improve their overall health and fitness.

I had an anterior and posterior double spinal fusion when I was 14 and since then always knew that I wanted to help individuals with orthopaedic problems. I have, and still do, experience the benefits that a correct exercise program can have on individuals with back and other orthopedic problems.

I have been blessed with a great sporting career and received provincial colours in hockey, artistic and rhythmic gymnastics. I have completed a few half marathons and am still very active on the sporting front.

I studied Sports Science at Stellenbosch University and finished top of my class. During this time I was one of 5 selected to go and help at a Sports camp for elite athletes with disabilities in the USA. 

I then went on to do my BSc. Med Honours degree in Exercise Science (Biokinetics) at UCT, based at ESSM at The Sports Science Institute in Newlands, where I also completed my Internship. 

I immediately accepted a job offer at The Sports Science Institute once qualified, but my passion for orthopaedic rehabilitation eventually drew me towards Peter Gorman & Associates Physiotherapy practice at Panorama Medi Clinic. There I treated patients’ pre and post-op, as well as patients with general orthopaedic problems. I worked with all the different orthopaedic conditions, but my real interest is in the spine.

In 2014, I opened my own practice and have been specializing in helping individuals with back and other orthopaedic problems ever since.

My main emphasis is on improved quality of life by educating and assisting my patients to take proper care of their joints as well as providing safe and effective exercises to keep their body strong and mobile.

Pilates Classes

We focus on helping your body move better as you gain awareness of your posture, strengthen your core and improve flexibility. 30 minute and 45 minute classes are available.

Pilates Cardio Classes

These classes combine pilates with a bit of cardio. We teach and guide you through exercises to improve your core strength, flexibility, fitness and burn those unwanted calories. 30 minute and 45 minute classes are available.

Fitness Classes

This class gets your body moving, no matter your level of fitness. We guide you through high intensity and low impact options to ensure the class is perfect for you. It’s a super fun way to get your heart rate up, burn calories and tone your muscles.

Stretch Classes

We teach you and guide you through stretching exercises that protect your mobility and keep your muscles flexible and healthy to maintain a good range of motion in your joints. This class helps you relax and revitalise.

Nutritional Classes

Premium Members also get access to our awesome, online NutriEd classes that teach you about healthy food and eating.
